The fox is a prominent figure in myth and folklore, often portrayed as a clever and elusive trickster. In Japanese mythology, the fox or kitsune is a shapeshifter with magical abilities, sometimes a guardian spirit, other times a mischievous deceiver. In European tales, the fox is known for its cunning and adaptability, outwitting hunters and foes alike. Across cultures, the fox embodies intelligence, agility, and mystery—walking the line between the natural and supernatural worlds.
