The owl has long held a powerful place in myth and folklore across cultures. Often seen as a symbol of wisdom and intuition, it was sacred to Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom. In many Native American traditions, owls are associated with foresight and spiritual messages, while in Celtic lore, they are guardians of the underworld and keepers of ancient secrets. Mysterious and silent, the owl moves between the worlds of the seen and unseen, embodying both knowledge and mystery.
 
The mini etching within the brooch has been created with archival paper pressed on my etching press and oil etching ink.
The brooch is made of metal backing and glass cabochon.
